Meet Our Therapist: Kirsten Smith
Why I Chose This Area:
I became a therapist because I have always been deeply passionate about helping others, and I have personally experienced the life-changing benefits of therapy. I find fulfillment in holding a compassionate, non-judgmental space where people feel safe to share their stories. My goal is to support clients in exploring their emotions, understanding their experiences, and reaching their fullest potential.
What I Want Clients to Know About Me:
I am deeply committed to my own healing journey and believe that personal growth is a lifelong process. Because of this, I approach therapy not just as a practitioner but as someone who understands the courage it takes to do this work. I strive to create an open and supportive environment where clients feel empowered to take meaningful steps toward healing.
A Few of My Favorite Things:
When I’m not working, you can usually find me outside—whether it’s hiking, camping, or relaxing by the beach. I also love baking and experimenting with new recipes. And, as an avid reader, I’m always on the lookout for thought-provoking books! One I often recommend is The Body Keeps the Score by Dr. Bessel van der Kolk, which explores the connection between trauma and the body.
A Fun or Unexpected Fact About Me:
I’ve been a vegetarian for almost 10 years!
A Little More About Me:
Therapy is a journey, and I am honored to walk alongside my clients as they navigate healing, self-discovery, and growth. No matter where you are in your journey, I strive to create a space where you feel seen, heard, and supported every step of the way.
